SILVER MEDAL AWARD PROGRAM

To recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and who have been active in furthering the industry’s standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern.

Criteria for Nomination
CONTRIBUTION TO HIS/HER COMPANY: The winner must have achieved success in one of the following areas of work: advertising agency, advertiser, media, or advertising service company.
CREATIVE ABILITY: The winner should have shown a consistent, high degree of creative, original thinking in whatever phase of advertising this person has worked.
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE GENERAL ADVANCEMENT OF ADVERTISING: Award winners should have worked to increase the stature and raise the standards of the advertising profession.
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY: The recipient should be a man or woman who has been active in civic or religious or other groups dedicated to some phases of human or social welfare.

Procedure for Nomination
Recommendations for Silver Medal Award shall be submitted in writing by any member in good standing of the Advertising Federation of Fort Wayne, Inc. The individual making the nomination shall do complete research about the nominee and include his/her background and information on how the nominee qualifies (see criteria).

A jury (appointed by the Advertising Federation President each year) consisting of a Past President and at least three members of the Advertising Federation of Fort Wayne, Inc. will meet in January of each year to consider all written nominations.

The jury’s report will be made to the Board of Directors at the March regular Board meeting. The Chairman of the jury will personally advise the Silver Medal Award recipient of the selection and the Silver Medal Award recipient shall be announced at the May Recognition Luncheon.

NOTE: Although the jury is charged to search diligently for a winner, it should be understood that the award will not be presented each year if in the jury’s opinion no nominee is eligible for the award.
